Hi everyone. I made it through Sunday's Marché at my childrens school. As a newbie I'm not sure where one measures the baseline of success - but I did sell just slightly over 100 soaps at the event. Since it was a small intimate affair I felt *great* about the experience and the day was perfect. Here are a few samples of what I had-

Just so you know I used "Rise and Shine" from BB for the Neon Layer (vegetable glycerin). "Coconut Citrus Sorbet" from BB for the white rind (shea butter) on the citurs slices (olive oil) and "Relaxing" from BB for the Circle soap - Shea Butter and Olive Oil, and "Tropical Vacation" from BB for the Kalaidoscope (Vegetable glycerin). They all went like hotcakes. I'm totally smitten with Relaxing!!! The French Flag didn't resonate which I was extremely surprised. Maybe it just didn't hold up next to the other very bright and bubbly soaps? It's all a learning experience. In any event I'll just turn the soaps around in their package, remove the Eiffel Tower stamp, put on a new tag with a stamp of fireworks and go for the "4th of July".
I can't thank everyone enough for their help and input over the last few weeks since I joined this forum. Your information has been invaluable. My callout signage - I don't think to many people really read it, but it was useful when someone was going to buy one for a present and then I would pick up the sign and remind them to buy one to "treat yourself" which was my first bullet and I was able to get them to buy a second soap. My price points were $4.25 and $5.25 and a .50 off if they bought two.
I'm ready to regroup and work on my etsy sight and order more fragrances from BB.
Thanks all!
Hilary
