I'm using this year to experiment and explore a lot of craft ideas I've had in the past. Soap making is on the list. Though nothing I made even compares to the soaps you guys are making.
Love the Flaunt It Gallery!!!
So, I'm thinking back to my M&P days and have a few questions before I get started again.
When I made M&P, I didn't really use anything to keep it from "melting". I packaged it in saran wrap, then shrink wrap and finally clam shells. It had a tendency to "sweat" and shrink. Is it the shrink wrap or the soap? How do I get it to behave and not melt?
I really want to move beyond the simple pour and try marbling and some of the other great techniques (I didn't realize some many artsy soaps could be made with this). Any suggestions where to start? Anne Marie I'm looking for your marbling tutorial!!!
Last question, I have gingerbread clamshells I was going to use for Christmas shows years ago. I tried using a pipette to fill the piping and buttons without success. What other tools can I use for intricate tasks like that?
Thanks for the advice/suggestions!
