How you got started.
I have sold 6 soaps on Etsy but I'm still used to the world of ebay with high volume sales. Now keep in mind I sold kids clothes there...and didn't get to be creative.

I really like the kinder side of Etsy but kind of bummed on all the promoting and small sales.

I will hang in there...it's only been a short time but if your willing to share your beginnings with me--I would love to hear.

Hi Lauren-
don't be discouraged by the slowness of Etsy sales. It took me 3 weeks to get my first sale!! Be active in the Etsy forums, drop in on the chat rooms, keep listing, keep making fun unique stuff, and soon you'll be making sales and getting wholesale inquiries. I promise!

It wouldn't hurt for you to get your own site, too, even if it's a really simple one, just so you have a way of developing your own image and showing off styles that might not be in your Etsy shop anymore.
