Does any one have any tried and true methods for swirling melt and pour? I have tried once and it was a botched batch! :oops:

I know it works best in CP but I would like to hear any tips you might have for M&P!

In my experience, it's all about the temperature.

The more viscous and thick the soap is, the better the swirl will hold. If the soap is too warm, it will continue to mix inside the mold.

It's all about timing and making sure that your soap is cool enough to support the swirl shapes.

I wait til there is a thin film. If I want to swirl the bottom color with the color above it, I use a toothpink and prick a couple of small holes through the thin skin of the MP on the bottom. I then pour the next layer over a spoon.
