Yes, you can make your own base - some people do. Soapbuddy makes her own and maybe she will answer you here.
I have also paged through a book that I think you can get at www.brambleberry.com "Making Transparent Soap" by Cathrine Failor.
Good luck and have fun! So nice to have a "family" activity!

If I have some lye and I wanted to use the rest of it to make my own mp base where could I find the recipe for goatsmilk or could I even make that one?
