Teach Soap

I made a few soaps about two months ago. Wrapped them as I saw on soapqueen and now they have little to no scent. Or they just smell weird. I haven't remelted these bars. Any ideas why they smell weird? Although, not sure if this matters, but I wouldn't think so. They were in the same box as other scents. But of it was scented before being wrapped they shouldn't lose their scent right?

(In a previous post I mentioned remelting my melt &. Pours, but these haven't been remelted. If anything the remelted ones keep the scent better.)

So I seems it doesn't matter if I used an eo or a fo to scent my soaps. They are losing their scent. I added 1/2 ml of what was needed for each one scent wise. So I am at a loss. Is the plastic wrap absorbing the scent? If it is wouldn shrink wrap do the same?

Any ideas or help is gratefully appreciated and south after!

Where did you get your FOs, when I started I used craft store scents and the faded so, so fast.

I have gotten them from natures garden candle, sweetcakes, soapaoolza, brambleberry, and crafters choice (wholesale). So from a few sources. For example, my lettuce and orange soap smells weird. I used bb's lettuce and now orange essential oil. My tobacco from bb is still awesome. My grassy lettuce smells great too. All three from bb. So I'm not sure.


I don't think it's my bases. They all come from bb.


Also, you can use bb fragrance calculator for single scents per pound. So I emailed bb and they recommended to add 1.5 oz per pound for two, 1.25 oz for three scents and no more than 3 total per pound. If I remember my notes (and email) correctly.
