Today was the first time I used clear base, all the batches of soap I've made have been goat's milk soap. No matter what I did, the soap was full of bubbles from the time I melted it, so the batch of soap I made turned out horribly full of bubbles and of course I don't like it. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Also, does it cool down faster or gets a film faster? because even thought the soap was 135° it was getting a film as I pour, so it wouldn't pour evenly. Thank you for any advice you might have for me!!

Did you spritz it with alcohol? Stirred slowly? Where did the base come from?

The base is from brambleberry, and I did spritz with alcohol, and stirred slowly.

I cut the base into cubes. I melt them slowly and in short bursts in the microwave til almost all is melted. Then I stir slowly with a long fork til it's all melted. When it's all melted, I spritz it with alcohol, add any color or fragrance. Then I pout into a mold. The top gets spritzed with alcohol and left to harden. I do get a few bubbles, but it's not bad.

I use the clear and the white MP base from BrambleBerry and have not had any problems with it. If I am layering I wait to get a thin skin. If it's all the same color, I poured all of it into my mold before it gets a skin.
