Hi, I made my first MP soaps this weekend. I was intrigued by jewelweed soap for poison ivy and have that plant growing nearby. I followed instructions I found online and now have four bars of jewelweed soap! I also made four bars of lavender soap. I am thinking about trying to sell them locally and then make more. I noticed that Brambleberry can be a bit expensive and I'm wondering if there are other websites that sell soap making products. I want to go as organic as possible.

Welcome!
Be aware that you cannot make any medical claims for soap. That includes poison ivy. I would get all your paperwork in order to sell.
As soon as you start to sell, you will need liability insurance and any licenses that your city requires. I posted this sticky in another part of the forum, but parts of it still apply to MP soap as well. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3800

I am a newbie myself! I have a good friend that has been making soaps for many years and she says brambleberry has some of the best fragrance and essential oils. She has purchased from other less expensive companies only to find that the fragrances don't last or they morph to smell different over time. They may cost more at brambleberry but she says it is worth it.

I am going to make some melt and pour this weekend. I am super excited!! :)
