Teach Soap

So, I have an idea for a lovely MP soap, but not sure how to execute it.

1) if the embeds I need are actually clear, unscented cubes, do I need to melt, mold, and cut a clearmelt soap block, or can I just hack off pieces I need and use them for the embeds?

2) I need to "freeze" the embeds in my mold, and they will stack vertically a bit. Can I pour in my chief soap (which is less clear and is scented) in stages around them, so I can keep the vertical shape of the embeds, and will the layers show as layers? I need them to look very uniform.

You don't have to melt the soap first, you can just cut off the pieces you want if you're not looking for a specific shape.



You can pour around embeds in layers, just be careful of the temperature, if it's too hot it'll melt the other soap and liberally spray the layers with rubbing alcohol so they adhere and get rid of bubbles and it shouldn't show the layers

Thank you so much! I actually need the bubbles, so I'll just pour carefully once the soap is a little bit cool. I should have them done this week and will post pics if they turn out the way I envisioned.

Don't wait too long to pour the layers though. I just made a soap the other night with layers and they didn't stick as I waited too long to pour my next layer.

The RA helps the layers adhere as well as getting rid of bubbles.
