I was wondering if anyone would be able to help figure out some percentage amounts? I'm trying to fill out the cosmetic notification forms for Health Canada. On them, you have to list the percentage amounts for your soap. I have the percentage amounts for my base and the amount of additives, but I can't figure out how to adjust the base amounts so that my final number is still 100%
Here are the amounts for my base
Aqua 30 to 100%
Glycerin 10 to 30%
Sodium Stearate 10 to 30%
Sorbitol 10 to 30%
Sodium Laurate 3 to 10%
Propylene Glycol 3 to 10%
Sodium Laureth Sulfate 3 to 10%
Goat’s Milk 3 to 10 %
Sodium Chloride 0.3 to 1 %
Stearic Acid 0.3 to 1%
LauricAcid 0.3 to 1%
Titanium Dioxide 0.3 to 1%
Pentasodium Pentetate 0.1% or less
Tetrasodium Etidronate 0.1% or less
And here are the percentages of my recipes
base 92%
FO .12%
Oats 7.13%
Also, if I combine two bases together, like clear and white, with a larger amount of clear and smaller amount of white, how do I know how much to increase the percentages for ingredients that both bases have in common?
Thanks
Tricia
