Teach Soap

ok so I'm moving along.. I know this isnt a SQ recipe but I thought it was too cool not to make. well I got all the way to the dip in melted clear MP base and roll in chopped up colored soap. So I did has shown but nothing would stick to the bases of the rock candy soap? how small do the colored soap need to be.. like grains of salt or pebbles or gravel size rocks? I mean I chopped up the colored soap to pretty tiny becuase I figured whatever I had left would be used in another project. but how small does the colored soap need to be or am I missing something. I watched the You tube viedo alot of times already... please help.

Are you using the go planet earth rock candy video?
Are you using your hands to push the colored pieces onto the clear piece? I can't remember if it shows to do that in the go planet earth video, but you really do have to use your hands to squish the colored pieces on.

well I was able to work out what I did wrong. you must frist start with TINY and I mean tiny chunk soap colored. I had them too big. so I thought i'd try it with smaller pieces of colored soap. and whata know it worked. pictures to following days. these soap are sure a labor of love.
