Thats a shame but makes sense. I could see how someone new would be turned off from the craft all together if they didn't know there was a better quality out there.

Made these today. It was my first loaf and first try at my "birthday cake". I used a goats milk base and added a blend of brown sugar FO and cupcake FO. My soap shavings aren't sticking well. I stirred the top for texture and I think it hardened too much for the shavings. Smells great though! The kids kept saying it was making them hungry and they wanted to eat it lol

Congrats on doing your first loaf! And your daughter's first one too. They are both pretty!!

If the shavings aren't sticking, I'd make bigger shavings so there's enough there for the soap batter to latch onto in order to get them to stick better. I use one of those cheese shaver things. I don't know what they're called, but this:

You pull it across the soap and it makes curls. Then you can crumble the curls into larger shavings. Just a thought. :D

Here they are. it turnd out pretty good i did forget to spay and the red didnt stick to the soap, it was very hard to unmold but i only wait like 45min then unmolded and for some reason my blue did nit blend you can see here it ends and the yellow begens but i cant wait to do my loaf kit it should be here next week!!!!!
