Teach Soap

I have used the clear before and it was fine, as soon as I get some more supplies in I will try it again.

My early batches of MP soap did this too. I place saran wrap over the glass pitcher, if working with smaller batches. Larger batches I place the base in a crock pot. If you are concerned with sweating soap, LCP BB base is wonderful. I add powedered goat's milk to it, or olive powder. Living in the south, with high humidity, have not had a problem, with sweating soap, yet.

I always use saran wrap no matter how big or small my batches are, so I don't think that's the issue. I'm pretty confident that my problem was with the soap colorant. But I can't help but wonder if NG's GM base is just difficult to work with?

What temp/setting do you have your crock pot on in order to melt your base and approx how long does it take to melt? I really should use my crock pot to melt my soap seeing as how it just sits in its box unopened.
