soapbuddy, I'm working on ingredient lists and have looked at the BB site for pigment INCI information. If there is nothing listed for an individual color (ultramarine blue and ultramarine violet, for example), do I list "iron oxides" or the colorant name?

Same question for micas (apricot blue mica and blue green mica, for example). Some do not have the INCI information. What would be the correct thing to do in this situation?

Yet another question... I am not to repeat duplicates? Is this correct? For instance, if there is carmine in two different micas, I would only list that once? If there is titanium dioxide in more than one, I would only list that once?

Maybe I am making this harder than it should be, but I am apparently having a difficult time wrapping my brain around this.

For all micas, I can list only "mica", or I have to list the INCI information listed on the BB site?

Same thing with the pigments... I can list "iron oxides" only?

For LabColors, I should list the INCI information?

I apologize, and I appreciate your patience. I'm not sure why I'm having such a hard time with this.

For micas, I only list it as "mica". I don't always know all the components that go into it.
For ultramarines or oxides, I list it as "ultramarine (& whatever color it is) and "oxide" (& whatever color it is)
For Lab Colors I list it according what color is in it ie: FD&C Blue #1 & D&C Red #33. This is just an example. There are many other colors that Lab Colors come in.
