Hi, I haven't made any soap yet because I'm trying to gather as much info as I can......I'm doing M&P and I was wondering if I can buy cold processed soap and melt it. That way I don't have color it or scent it because it's already done. Is it melt-able?

I've read about people buying, ie goats milk base from their local craft store, and melting it but no one has ever spoken about cutting up cold processed soap and melting it.

I appreciate all replies, thanks so much!

Cold process soap can be rebatched, but it will never be as fluid as melt n' pour.

Hi Heather!
Cold Process can't be melted in the same was as MP. It takes a lot longer and ends up looking more like mashed potatoes than melted soap. BrambleBerry has a rebatch kit you can try for less than $20.
