Teach Soap

I was asked a question I don't know the answer to. Maybe someone out there does.

Can someone who is lactose intolerant use soap with milk in it without any adverse effects?

I'd think lactose intolerant refers to the inability to digest the proteins in milk properly, causing gastric upset. So, if they don't lick their skin, or eat the soap, they'd probably be ok. I think it's different than say, a peanut allergy where even contact can cause an allergic reaction....but this is all JMO.

Yes, you pretty much hit the nail on the head. Unless the person is allergic to milk, lactose intolerant people can use it.

I am lactose intolerant, but I can use milk based soaps. Just don't add fresh milk to MP as it will go bad quickly.
