Teach Soap

Do any of you know a m&p recipe that is like "Dove" soap? I have used it for years and years. My skin is so snesitive, and it is just so easy on my skin, but, like everything else these days, it's so expensive.

These are the ingredients in a regular Dove Beauty Bar:
Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate, Stearic Acid, Sodium Tallowate or Sodium Palmitate, Lauric Acid, Sodium Isethionate, Water, Sodium Stearate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoate or Sodium Palm Kernelate, Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891)

I doubt you'll find most of these ingredients in a good MP base.

I really love the smell of the green Dove bar (Cucumber Green Tea). Recently I got a cucumber melon FO and a Green Tea FO - put them together and BANG! You wouldn't even know the difference!

I'm a rebel and didn't want to do just MP and FO -- I got creative with my 1st, 2nd and 3rd projects all within the last couple of days. It was fun. You can always remelt! I couldn't wait for my BB order and got some DB (double butter) MP from the craft store. My BB order arrived just before I got home. Anyway, I "flaunted" my projects on that thread.

I've gone through almost 8 lbs. of MP from both places. Maybe I just got lucky, but I've had no issues with either base -- only with my butter fingers (dropped an open bottle of colorant).

I make bath bombs too. For them to fizz you have to make sure that you use twice as much baking soda to citric acid. Also, you have to make sure your baking soda and citric acid are well mixed before adding wet ingredients. I mix my colorant and fragrance into olive oil and then mix that in. I also use about 1 T. of water in the colorant/oil mix. I only put a few drops at a time in my dry mix and mix fast.

If you use too much oil, you'll have a big nasty ring in the tub.
