Teach Soap

Now that it is September, I need to start thinking about Christmas. I do not have many to provide for cause i've accepted most my family belongs in a nut house and really don't communicate wither other branches. My mom's side on the west coast has nada to do with us East Coasters except for My G'ma's younger sister. My mom talks with her sibs, but that's it. Only person in my dad's family who bother's is his mom...

Like I said a few generations of loons with no communication. So my list is generally my mom, dad, g'ma shirley, a couple friends and maybe my mom's sister. I have a brother, but yea not going there.

So how many of you are doing soap for presents? I have an antique mosaic wall clock in progress for dad and mom wants an anklet made by me. I ordered earrings from a friend for g'ma, so that leaves only a few people. Hopefully my M&P technique will improve and i can produce nice soap before Christmas

I have a few tester's in mind for helping me prefect my recipes and such.

make as many soaps as you want. its great to practice with melt&pour cause you remelt and mold again until you feel comfortable. leave it unscent until then. then do it was FOs/EOs and all that stuff.

just ask us forum people if you get a problem. always happy to help. and that's not just me either. Melissa

Thanks. I've done M&P before but didn't really put any effort into it. I was just entering my 20's and not i'm 29 and want to make an better effort this time.

Oh I will be keeping a note book of my recipes. I got and read a book called the Joy Of Melt and Pour Soap Crafting. I'm glad I didn't pay more than 4.99 for the kindle version, cause it was not worth much else.

I picked up a few tricks from the book including to use the double broiler method and keeping care notes of your recipes. I still need to get the Running horse and motorcycle molds by Bramble Berry for my mom and aunt.

But I can focus on getting scents and base the next couple months cause I will have enough molds besides the 2 to play with
