Teach Soap

Could I use a cookie sheet as a mold? Like, if I wanted to make soap cutouts? I read somewhere that you weren't supposed to use anything metal while making soap, but I don't remember if that was referring to CP?

That's just for CP since any metal other than stainless steel can react with the lye.

One more question. (Which I think also applies to CP, but want to make sure...) With MP soaps, do you have to make sure the dishes you use while making it are never used for food?

Stainless Steel is ok if washed well. Plastic is a no-no as it takes the smell of the soap but you can use it only for M&P. I always wash stuff used for M&P seprately from my food dishes. glass I have two of almost everything and what used for soap is put on its own shelve after wash and dry. But I've had hubby put in plastic ware and then it become only used for m&P dish... lost a few food plastic dishes from him. made him buy me glass stuff for ruin my good storage ware. LOL
