Hello my name is Renato am Brazilian, I decided to make this video to demonstrate the basis for glycerin cold process, do not know if anybody here realizes this process?

I have a question for you. Why are you stirring with a wooden stick? Over time that wood will splinter from the reaction with the lye and you could end up with splinters in your soap. Why not use a stick blender instead? I make my own MP soap as well and I don't get the same pH as you do.

Nothing special about using wood, could have used some kind of plastic cord, but she used it, and how to splinters, for this only happens if you're using it for a long time and a timber of poor quality, so if you use wood always be replaced.
The base is good that she resserca very little and can go without wrap for a long time without losing too much weight on the ph if you do not neutralize the acid end of the process, yet after a week it drops to 8.

Do you not have access to a stick blender? You could reach trace much faster that way.

Let me explain to use the mixer would be a smaller amount, the amount used in the video it was impossible to need an industrial mixer because it was a lot would not common a mixer, the mixer sink completely in solution.

You can get larger ones from kitchen supply stores!

Unfortunately i do not have any known in North America, would be released very easier, spend 3 minutes to make the base and not 10 minutes I spend now.Thanks.
