Teach Soap

I tried the recipe from here

16 oz. m&p white base
8 T. Castile Liquid Soap
6 ml. fragrance oil

Whip the ingredients together on medium speed, switching to high after one minute. Keep mixing until the mixture forms fluffy, whipped peaks that look like frosting. Use a spatula to quickly frost the entire loaf of soap. You can do this after you have unmolded it. I did it before and had a very hard time getting it out without messing it up!

**Now this is what I have to say for having done a pretty good job on my Strawberry Champagne Soap. IT WASN"T EASY! First of all it took a very long time for mine to form peaks. I nearly gave up! I used my new stick blender. I will probably try a whip in my mixer next time. I was hating every minute of it. I put this stuff into a pastery bag and worked real fast! It turned into a very sticky, gloppy, gross, slippery mess before I finished the loaf and I found myself regretting having put it in the bag. It was a disaster to clean it. I want to add that it took several days for the stuff to finally firm up and it did become a very nice bar of soap.

There's my experience with whipped soap so if you all thought I had a secret when you saw my pics well...now you know
I hope it's going a whole lot easier for some of you and that you'll share your learning curves here! My curve is looking more like a bulge at this point and not so pretty!

My experience was pretty similar to yours. It took a lot of blending with my hand mixer before the mixture would form peaks. At the first hint of a meringue-like texture, I got it into my piping bag and went to work. The consistency was good for a couple of minutes, but soon hardened up in my piping bag and nozzle and became really difficult to work with. I had to gouge it out, reheat it and mix again. It was a long time ago, but if I remember right, I think I had to do that twice for 1 dozen cupcakes.

I'll probably tackle this project again in the future, but as of now I'm pretty "meh" about it. Soap cupcakes are super cute, but from a business perspective it's a pretty laborious operation for the return.

I live in the desert with triple digit heat. This has not worked for me well as it melts and deflates during shipping.

I initially used this recipe to put "froth" on my "beer soap". I loved the texture and had a lot leftover so I put it in a jar. Then I made another batch with a different fragrance for my granddaughter. I think it's awesome, kind of spongy at first, like it might be sticky, but once it hits the water ooh-la-la!
