Sodium lauryl sulphate and sodium laureth sulphate?

I like to buy SLS free melt and pour bases sometimes to play with (I'm more into cold process but sometimes it's nice to mix it up) and just noticed that when I looked at the ingredients for the SLS free soap base it still had sodium laureth sulphate in?

Is this something different? I was under the impression they did the same thing and were both classed as SLS.

They both are surfactants, Sodium Laureth Sulfate is abbreviated as SLES. It is a milder surfactant than SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate).
