Getting ready to start soap making for the first time. The booklet "Soap making 101" instructs you to cure soap on a wire rack for 2 weeks. they were using melt and pour soap.
I haven't heard that on the soapmaking queen videos.

Hi BestDoll! Melt & Pour can be used as soon as it is cool and hard. It doesn't need to be cured like cold process soap does. I'm not sure why it would say to let it cure. Odd... :roll:

Odd! Where did you get that booklet?

It's best to wrap M&P as soon as it has hardened.

Thank you everyone for your response. This booklet was published 2009. just purchased in craft store- ac moore. michaels has it too. nice pics of how to...heating the pyrex cup in the microwave, so the recipe is definitely melt and pour. It is odd. there is a website and #. d-originals.com. Maybe a typo!
