Teach Soap

Organic Creations has a organic base for sell.
The ingredients don't mention sodium hydroxide.
They mention filtered water,organic palm oil, organic coconut oil, glycerin & sorbitol.
I was told by everyone who knew soap making that you must have lye.
Where is the lye here?

Just go to Organic Creations and look at their organic base.
I am also new. The person called Soapbuddy has been helping me along.
That person has taken time to explain the basics to me.
And believe me I always have alot of questions.
I found that the Soap Queen and Soap Buddy know the real deal on soap making.
I found Bramble Berry sells great products and then has Soap Queen TV that you can see at youtube.
Some people on the internet give the wrong info. I don't know why.
I feel safe listening to the two that I mentioned.
Someday I hope to know enough to answer other peoples questions.

You may have to contact the company and ask them about the full list of their ingredients. You may also want to take a gander of the link that einnoc posted here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5949
It's very helpful in explaining what soap can actually be considered organic, and so you may want to confirm with Organic Creations that their base truly can be filed under the "Organic" label as such.

BrambleBerry's organic base has these ingredients: Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Palm Oil, Glycerin (kosher, of vegetable origin), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan oleate (emulsifier), Soy bean protein (conditioner).

organic creations base: Filtered water, organic palm oil, organic coconut oil, glycerin, and sorbitol (a humectant derived from berries).

Sorbitol is not made from berries. That's an online myth that's propagated over and over because it sounds better then lab made. As you can see the ingredients are almost identical. I bet both companies get their MP base from the same place. The second vendor conveniently "forgot" to list the rest of the ingredients.
