I love the LCP bases and don't find them at all drying. Neither does anyone else who's received my soaps made from them. Without exception they have loved the soaps. It's a fabulous base and fantastic in humid climates, where regular MP sweats like crazy and even looks greasy and gross in the humidity.
If someone else doesn't like LCP, by all means don't use it, but be aware that your experience isn't the same experience as many others.
Plus if you're shipping soaps made with non-low sweat bases into hot, high humidity climates, in all probability they're not going to look good upon arrival or afterward. I can tell you from personal experience how bad the soaps look in that type of climate without even being shipped in the heat on the backs of hot trucks.
Your choice; ( universal you) use whatever you like, but as a consumer I wouldn't be at all happy to receive soaps in the conditions I've seen.
Both the LCP white and clear are the only MP bases that I buy now and I couldn't be more pleased with them, along with the recurring positive feedback I get about soaps made from those bases. Positive comments include how creamy and bubbly the soaps are. I hope my experience helps those of you who may be having second thoughts about using LCP bases. I think they rock! And I'm picky.
