The other day I made an 'ocean' soap - coloured it beautifully with blue and sea green mica, scented it with a typical marine-type scent. I also put some dried seaweed in the bottom of the mould, poured the soap over the top and when I took it out of the mould it looked really cool with the sea weed on partially embedded into the top of the soap.
Buuuut, it smells weird. I don't know if it's the seaweed or what, but it does kinda smell fishy! But kinda like bad fish. I can smell the FO too, but it has this underlying fishy smell that just ain't good or right! Anyone else had this when using seaweed? I'm sure I didn't overheat the soap when melting it, I'm always very careful not to. I've just cut off the seaweed bits from the soap, but the smell is still there, so if it is the seaweed, it's infused it's smell though the entire soap.
I'm really bummed as it looked so nice too
