Teach Soap

Hi Soapylove, I just want to know when are you going to make another book for us. I got the Squeeky-clean book that you have out and I looooovvvveeee it!!! It's Great . I'm not interested in the projects that you have on your page where you download the project because I'm not able to do that. I want a book that I can purchase at a book store. I hope you make one soon.

thanks for your compliments on the book! I'm happy to hear that you would love to see another.

I hate to say it but I don't know when I will have another book. It took 2 years for this one to be published from the time I was approached by North Light Books. Although it was totally worth it, the process makes me hesitate considering another one.

But I'll certainly keep you posted if I decide to self-publish something in the meantime. For now I'm taking a little break from the zine and focusing on growing my wholesale soap business. So stay tuned for lots of newness at Soapylove!

Seriously?? I am beyond bummed to hear that you're not working on a new E-zine.

Why isn't there a magazine for soaping? There are SOOOO many magazines out there for other crafts, like scrapbooking and knitting and such. But no magazine, that I know of, for soaping. I think that should be Brambleberry's next project.

There was a beautiful, glossy soap mag a couple of years ago. It failed as it didn't get enough subscribers.

Totally agree here - but it should be an online mag, so it can be accessed from around the world, rather than printed, and relying on subs & sales. Also the green issue - rather than flying it across the globe.

So? When will it be comming out???

I know what you mean about actually holding a physical book or magazine in your hand. It feels good. It has a nice tangible feel to it.

I've priced out doing a soapmaking, print, magazine before and didn't find it to be a feasible business idea unfortunately. With the cost of printing rising every year, I see the trend to 'publish' online being the way to go for niche publications.

To SoapQueen: I know it's very expensive to publish a book,but I don't mean a magazine. I mean like a top 10 book like SoapyLove. I know if you made a book and maybe hooked up with SoapyLove to do it you guys would make a KILLER book!!! I can imagine both of you together on a book!!! Because SoapyLove's book like I said is GREAT!!!

Now the E-zine projects that are on-line I know they're good,but alot of us don't have the way to download the project.
Maybe you could extend the E-zine projects over the mail and if someone wants one(which I'm pretty sure they'll sell like crazy) you can order them through the mail.

Oh wouldn't that be fun! I love collaborating with Debbie. She's so creative and comes up with interesting and amazing ideas for soap. One of these days ... one of these days... =)))
