 Post subject: Which Base?

I am just starting to experiment with melt and pour and am wondering which base gives the best lather? I have seen cocoa butter, shea butter and organic oil bases and they all say they give a nice lather, but could any of you point me in the right direction please before I get too confused?

Organic oil MP will not give you as much lather. Why not try the sampler kit and see which one you like the best?

Agreed - the BB organic base is lovely, but doesn't lather as well as the others. I find the shea base has the same issue. I'm using BB's LCP bases for all my soaps, and they lather like a dream <3

Hmmm...I use the Shea almost exclusively and I have to say- I love the lather. I think the sampler is a good idea.

Hi Babs!

I love the goatsmilk base - great lather and wonderful on the skin. I use it alongside the clear - I usually leave the goatsmilk white which gives a good contrast against the clear which I colour.
