Does anyone have a good one to recommend? I'm using the old fashion stick the needle thermometer into the soap and it just doesn't work. Bramble doesn't carry but Home Depot does. $49.97-yikes! Any recommendations-I've been told that a thermometer is a must. 8)

Yes, it's helpful to have one. I bought a laser thermometer, so nothing touches the soap.

I bought an infrared thermometer from www.peakcandle.com and love it.
Instant read, no touching, no cleaning.

Peak's FOs are strong and true also.

I think mine came from Harbour Freight.
