Teach Soap

I bought Marie Browning's book on Melt and Pour. She refers to the various soap bases, but differentiates between the Whitened Glycerin Soap Base which have added coconut oil and a "true" coconut oil soap, MADE with coconut oil. She says the true coconut oil soap melts clear, but when hardened it's bright white. She seems to really like it. I'm having no luck in finding this base. Anyone know what is is named and who carries it? Wonder if it's SLS free?

I've never heard of MP that starts out white and melts clear. White MP base has titanium dioxide added. You can buy the clear base and add the TD yourself. If you want coconut soap, I would make one as cold process.

Maybe I can contact her, or Brambleberry would know. The book I bought is nothing but Melt & Pour. She says the coconut base has a high melting point of 190 degrees which makes for a wonderful hard-finished soap. She's written several books. I just emailed her...
