Teach Soap

I'm brand new to soap making, and after researching for a few weeks, I finally ordered and received my supplies from Bramble Berry, but I'm left with some questions I hope some of you can answer! (And I apologize if this isn't in the right section!)

I have a sample pack of powdered pigments, but I don't want it to clump up in my soap. I thought about mixing it with vitamin E oil, since I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the vit E oil will make the soaps more moisturizing. Is this correct?
If so, can I go ahead and mix the pigments and vit E in advance and store them? What kind of containers should I store them in?

Thanks in advance, and I'm sorry if these are questions you guys have already answered a dozen times before! You guys seem to answer a lot of the same questions over and over again, but I didn't see the answers anywhere.

As far as I'm aware, you can add it to a drop of oil. You can also spritz a bit of alcohol into a container (like a measuring cup) and add it to that.

Save your Vit. E for skin care. It will not make your soap more moisturizing. I would try adding the pigment to a small amount of glycerin, stir very well, then add that to your soap.

You should not need to add anything to a good MP base. With that said, if you feel it needs more moisture, try adding 1 tsp. of jojoba per lb. of MP base.

Hmmmm .... I do add oils/butters to my bases - they're excellent quality but I think it adds a certain something extra special. I don't add anything that would inhibit the lathering ability though but I do personally feel that a little bit extra is something extra special

It depends on the style of the soap - sometimes cocoa butter, sometimes coconut oil, but most often Golden Jojoba Oil as I find it particularly good for the skin. It has helped cure my hubby's eczema and my own sensitve, dry skin has really improved leaps and bounds from using it.
