I've read all the posts on labeling on the forum and got some good information. One question I have which did not seem to come up (or I overlooked it) was the kind of label material people were using. Many times online labels website was mentioned along with the size of labels or use of other label making software.

My question is - if you are using the avery/vendor lablels what material type are you using? clear, matte, white or waterproof? or something else?

For my kids fair the soap will be packaged in a compostable cello bag (which for where I live is a nice feature to the packaging). Once I put on the ingredients label on the bag - I think it ends up defeating the purpose of being able to compost it.

Thoughts? I love the concept, if I can make it happen, that all parts of the product are either
used (soap), composted (bag) or recycled (little tag and paper raffia) and ingredients list (?)

Thanks

I used to make tags or cigar wrappers (for bars) out of Mulberry Paper. It looks really cute if you tear the edges so they are ragged. I handwrote everything and that can be time consuming and not to mention your hand hurts after awhile but it looks great.

Thanks hvrba- I saw you wrapping. Thanks for the idea. I thought that MP must be wrapped completely. Is your soap M&P?

The bars on my site now are cp but when I did m&p bars, I would wrap them in saran wrap, then put the mulberry paper over it. I always got lots of compliments on how they looked. Here is a picture.
