Teach Soap

I've just purchased a shrinkwrap machine which has been going great on the square looking bars with little detail but it got me thinking, if I use it to wrap a difficult shaped bar say something that had alot of grooves in the design or an odd shape would it gather glycerine dew in these areas after it were shrink wraped? I'm having a HUUUUGE amount of trouble with dew lately in general, it seems like it's a race between me and the dew to see who can get to the soap first.

I've also been having alot of trouble getting any m&p soap out of their m&p friendly moulds, I find if I put them in the freezer or fridge for about 10 minutes they come out really easy but within minutes they're sweating, any ideas on how to tackle this? it's driving me nuts. My husband and daughter are starting to think something is seriously wrong with me after all the groaning and gowling i've been doing from inside my work room lol

I'm going to try the CP-like M&P, they have less glycerin, so less sweating. Brambleberry carries it.

Try putting them in the freezer, upside down (you have to wait until they are hard enough to turn over) right under the blower. Leave them for about 5 minutes instead of 10. That might help with the dew.

How long are you waiting before trying to unmold them? If they are in there long enough they should come out just fine. You can put them in the fridge/freezer for less time but I personally am not a fan of that as it does make the sweating a lot worse and over time is not good for your molds.

Putting the soaps in front of a fan for a few minutes can help get rid of any sweat that is already on them.

I agree with SunsetSoaps - maybe you should give the low sweat (Like CP Melt and Pour) a try.

If the bar is shrink wrapped it should not be getting dew... the dew comes from the moisture that the soap sucks from the air around them. That is why people in more humid climates typically get more dew on their soaps. Just wrap them as tightly as you can and it should help.

Ya'll (is that how you say it in America ) anyway, your help was fantastic, actually it saved my last batch of m&p, we have very high humidity here in Qld, Aussie at the moment, and the weather has been all over the place, I have had some very confused batches of soap lol.
