I'm just curious how it would work if you are making a soap that has a vanilla FO in it. I know from everything I read that the vanilla FO will discolor the soap. So if I want to do a berry vanilla FO and from what I read I assume it's going to turn some brownish color, is there a way to maybe add a red layer? Maybe mix the base with red colorant and add no FO for that part to get a brown/red soap, or how do people do this?!

I hope this makes sense.

It usually bleeds into any layers that it is touching. How much it bleeds can vary depending on how dark that fragrance discolors.

You can use vanilla color stabilizer if you want to avoid the discoloration. http://www.brambleberry.com/Vanilla-Col ... P4156.aspx
