I love my Pour/Melt soaps....
But they don't last long..... I was wondering if there is anything that I can make them harder? or last longer?

Where are you getting your base from? If you try to make them harder, you can start loosing bubbles.

I'm getting them from, New Directions Aromatics.
I have a Shea, SLS free and Crystal M/P soaps.
They all lather fairly well, they just dont last very long.

NDA is a Stephenson's base and has these ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Sodium Stearate, Propylene Glycol, Sorbitol, Sodium Laurate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Pentasodium Pentetate, Tetrasodium Etidronate.

BrambleBerry's base is a SFIC base and has these ingredients:
Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Glycerin, Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Sorbitol, Sorbitan oleate, Soy bean protein.

I would try BrambleBerry's base. They also have the low sweat base which is harder, due to less glycerin.

I agree with trying the low sweat base! Also are you using a soapdish that drains well? Keeping the soap higher in the shower so it's not getting 'rained' on for the whole shower?

MP soaps are just softer in general than CP soaps or store bought detergent bars. Mine have never lasted as long as they do. They are soooo much nicer though I think it's worth it. =)

I don't know how long you let them cure, but giving them several days to dry and harden before you use them will make them last longer, also.

Mine seem to last a long time but I typically use low sweat because I live in a humid area

Are low sweat bases better than the non sweat bases? I just ordered my first lcp clear base from bb and I'm curious how my soap will out. Will I have to wrap it in Saran Wrap or can I wrap it in paper?

Any MP soap base works best if you shrink wrap it. I would not wrap it in just paper.

Thanks, Soapbuddy. I just used a couple pounds of it last night. We will see how it works.
