Some questions about oatmeal:

can i used any type of oatmeal (quaker oats, ect)? I assume i have to "pulse" grind this in a food chopper?

I also put some pumice in one of my M&P bars and it all sank to the bottom. Was the soap too hot when i poured it? what are better ways to suspend it? I am using brambleberry's melt and pour goats milk soap

To get things to suspend in your MP you want to wait until the soap has thickened and cooled quite a bit. Once there is a layer of skin on the top of the soap you can remove it and then add your exfoliants. The soap should be thick and cool enough then to suspend them.

You can also get a MP base that is made just for suspending exfoliants. We have one here;
