Does anything happen to the soap quality or color if you melt something that doesn't turn out right then reuse the soap?
I did that several times with the same soap and it just didn't look or feel right.

I think the reheating does take some of the moisture out of the soap. It seems to have a thicker consistency and sets faster than usual. If I have a soap that doesn't come out right my limit is to reheat and try again only once. Then it goes into the "ugly duckling" pile.

Yep, reheating or overheating does take the moisture out of MP & can turn it yellowish. If you add a bit of liquid glycerin to it when you remelt, it helps keep the moisture in.
