Teach Soap

I've just started making melt and pour soap and I'm having so much fun, but I can't seem to get the colors right. I've been using the Shea butter base from bramble berry with the color blocks for melt and pour, but my reds are still turning out pink, teals more blue, etc. Is this just because of the Shea butter base? How much of the color block should I be using to get a vibrant color? Would y'all suggest a different way of coloring? Any advice is appreciated.

Those are just happening since the shea base is white meaning no matter was colors you use the will be pastel. THe way to fix it is to use a clear base with just a little bit of white base to make it opaque, this will give you those bright colors!

For a vibrant color you need the clear base.

Yeah what everyone said. White bases will always make the most vibrant colors into a pastel. But also using a clear base will make your colors appear... Clear! If you don't want to see through the soap add a tiny amount of white or Shea base to make your soap opaque! Hope that helps!
