Hi everyone!

This is my first post! I'm new to melt and pour and also cold process, I've only been doing it for a few months. Anyways, today I made a loaf of melt and pour, I was doing layers and when I poured one of the layers I forgot to spray alcohol first, will it make the layer separate? I unmolded the soap and cut it, the soap seems solid and doesn't separate at first unless I use significant force, then the layer separates. I guess I'm trying to find out if it's going to separate more easily as time goes by.

I can tell you from my experience that yes, it will separate for you UNFORTUNATELY! it happened to me when I first started making M&P and didn't realize my rubbing alcohol was not 91% VERY DISAPPOINTING, but a lesson well learned. The one good thing about that is, since it's M&P you can re-melt it and re-pour it all over again. Or, you can do what this coward did the first time it happened, chop it up and make some confetti soap in a white M&P base.

Whatever you decide, don't get upset about it, it's a lesson learned and it's a lot of fun too try something different.

My experience was that the 70% alcohol was better than the 91%.
