Teach Soap

Today on this boring rainy Maryland day it suddenly turned into BOX DAY!!! I quickly opened my kid friendly fo sampler pack and smelled every single one hehe. I chose to make a loaf with my new loaf mold. Pink grapefruit fo, and the red (a pastel orange in the white base), pink, and aqua micas. The mica brights and pastels sampler kit is soooo beautiful, definitely worth the purchase. I basically practiced my swirling and layering, and now I am waiting for it to cool!!! The sampler pack of the bases is so fantastic and I now see the difference between those and the base I started with from Michaels. My question is about the honey and hemp bases. How do I approach those when it comes to coloring them? I know the white color bases turn colors pastel, and these have the natural yellowish/greenish tint. How will colors react?

Yay! Box day is always so much fun! I hear ya about the wish list. Mine grows daily. Right now I think I have 72 items on it and that's just at Brambleberry! I have a few other places I buy from that has stuff BB doesn't with loaded wish lists!

What other sites do you use Amber D? And here is the picture of how my first loaf turned out. My top pink layer broke off one of my bars, and my swirling became more mixing lol but I dig the colors. Do you know what kind of wackiness is going to go on if I add colors to honey or hemp bases? I'm just assuming everything is going to turn brown because of how they are tinted but who knows!

I use Rustic Escentuals, Nature's Garden, Wholesale Supplies Plus, and Brambleberry (of course). Being a newbie myself, I have not ventured out beyond clear and goats milk bases yet and was wondering the same thing about the colors.

Is it sad that I don't have any boxes coming and yet had a dream last night today I was getting one? LOL Yeah, I think I am officially addicted....

lol no not sad to dream about something so awesome. FYI I just learned right now, the honey base and micas arent the best combo. It really doesn't mix together well!
