insurance.
The Handcrafted Soapmaker's Guild also offers

If you are selling, I would also look into county and state requirements for licenses/permits pertaining to running a business.
Personally, I would get
insurance before I started selling to the public. Some folks probably don't have
insurance, but I wouldn't want to take the gamble. I have heard of craft shows sometimes asking for proof of liability
insurance but I have never encountered it myself.
