 Post subject: Oatmeal in liquid soap

I am wanting to make a body wash with the goodness of oatmeal in it but I dont want oatmeal floating around in there. What are my options of doing this. Can I do some kind of "Oatmeal Infusion " or something?

You could strain the water from the oatmeal and add just the liquid portion.

would I need to add a preservative to this or is this not considered oat milk? I saw in another thread on here where you need to add a preservative to liquid soap made with oat milk.

Oats have natural protein, so yes, you will need a preservative. Protein in water is loved by microbes and germs.

Liquid soap still has a fairly high pH even if diluted. Once diluted, oil based preservative will have a hard time mixing with all the water. I would use a preservative that's water soluble.
