I've made several very successful batches of bath bombs until my most recent batch. It was raining outside and I had no idea that humidity would affect the process and the outcome. The bombs started to melt while drying. I put them in the oven and thought I had saved them. They were firm and dry after using the oven until the next day - they were soft and crumbly.

So my question is regarding humidity. Is there a certain % humidity that you use as a cut-off point for deciding whether or not to make bath bombs that day?

thanks!

Hi there,
Humidity is defiiately a factor to consider when making bath bombs. For me, some days I need alot of witch-hazel, on rainy/humid days very little or hardly any at all. I've learnt that on rainy days, enjoy the rain..I don't make make bath bombs at all. Also I have invested in a humidity guage. Anything over 60% I play the waiting game. Hope this helps.
