Teach Soap

Is there a certain kind of shrink wrap that you use on bath bombs or can you just use the kind that is available at the party stores.

I've used the stuff I get from soap supply stores. That said, I changed the way I wrapped mine as it can be frustrating to get the bombs out of the shrink wrap without breaking them. I had a lot of friends comment they hated the shrink wrap on them.

I hate hate hate bath bombs in shrink wrap! I've been using them for years and those ones are always left in the box until I run out of others! I prefer the ones packaged in little cellophane baggies that are sealed with the company's label. I have some that are probably 15 years old and have been in high humidity all that time.. and they are just fine. I had upwards of 200 of them, this is why they are so old! I have maybe 5 or 6 left.

I was kinda thinking they would be too much trouble to unwrap also. I was trying to find a way that might keep the scent longer. I myself do like the cellophane bags from the cake supply stores. I guess if I keep them tied really well they should be ok.
I always had a concern that when I give them away as gifts that the person would use them and say there was no scent.

I used a heat gun and plain old plastic wrap. Works okay but labeling plastic wrap is harder.

I use those tiny little clear hair elastics to tie the tops of my bags with. Hairdressers sometimes use them when they do braiding (100 x tiny braids in your hair) to tie the ends. They are TINY. I can wrap them around 3 to 4 times and it seals the top of the bag enough to make a penguin jealous!

I use either cellophane squares or these little plastic bags very similar to cello bags that I can get from my local party shop. They're thicker than cello bags, more in like with what 'goodie bags' are made with - the kind you put together when a child has a birthday party. They seem to lock the air out better as they are slightly thicker.

Another vendor told me last night about corsage bags. Never thought of going to the floral supply store but I'm going to check it out this week.
