Teach Soap

I have a 'foot stick' item which is basically a slightly altered version of a lotion bar. I'm currently making a couple of other changes and am wondering if I should (need) include a preservative given it's coming into contact with feet. I recommend using it after a shower / before bed... so on clean feet, but I know I will apply it before I put my shoes on when I go out. So my feet (usually bare) have been walking around my wooden floors (not always super clean due to ratbag kids) before applying.

Is there a potential for issues if people are using it on dirty (not so clean) feet?

My new theory is "When in doubt, use a preservative!" Darn you Irena and your evil preservative-loving influence! I was nice and happy in my anti-preservative ignorance!

Yeah, I was sort of thinking the same thing. Would my Germal Plus be enough do you think? Or should I get something a bit stronger...?

That one I can't help with hehe, I've no idea! I know I use phenonip in my lotions and liquid germal plus in my shampoos. That is the extent of my knowledge. [Ohh and optiphen in my stupid dumb labcolours /grrrr ]

Hi ladies! I just got home from the Cubs and Dodgers game. I see I have been missed.
I would use Phenonip as it's oil soluble (Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben).

Is that the same as Phenoserve Preservative (Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben and Propylparaben)? It's missing the Isobut one...
