If you follow the links on the TIA website they lead either back to the same website or to an FDA page that contains no relevant information.
Besides that, if you read their article, towards the end it begins promoting THEIR OWN cosmetics.
I view the TIA as just one more of the many websites set up to spread negative remarks about their competition.
If you want a safe alternative then take a look at Inolex's products:

That's scaremongering. Go with Personal Care Truth. http://personalcaretruth.com/2010/06/a- ... xyethanol/ They have no hidden agenda. I can't use Optiphen as it makes my formula curdle.
