Many recipes call for stearic acid in emulsified sugar scrubs. I came across others which use cetyl alcohol and emulsifying wax, due to the fact it glides better. What would you recommend for body scrubs?

I use cetyl for thickening. Polawax and stearic for emulsification. You can use cetyl alcohol and emulsifying wax without the stearic. Make a small batch and see how you like it. The texture is a bit different.
