Teach Soap

I am wanting to make a baby shampoo and i found this recipe:
sulfonated castor oil, glycerin, mineral oil, and fragrance all mixed together, seems pretty easy. Has anyone made a soapless shampoo before? And I also read that mineral oil has some controversy for babies so is there a good substitute for it without it being cooked?

That doesn't sound good to me at all. Mineral oil will stick to the hair, make it greasy and it's hard to rinse off. Glycerin will make it sticky. Where did you find this? I would go to Swift blog and use her syndet shampoo bar.

I actually have the book i found it in... i am new to soap making so i dont know too much, you wouldnt recommend this?

For adults, try it, but I woudn't use it for a a baby. If you want to go the soapless route, use a good quality lotion on your hair instead. Use it as if it was a shampoo.

For a mild soapless shampoo I would try rhassoul clay.
