I have a lotion bar recipe using beeswax that I've been tweaking...finally got it the way I like it but I've been wanting to try candellila wax too. I used the same recipe but took out the beeswax and cut the candellila wax in half. The bars are really soft...is this normal for candellila wax? I've remelted it once and added more cocoa butter, but they still appear to be soft. Should I let them sit out for awhile? I'd hate to lose this batch because I infused the olive oil with calendula petals!

Candelilla can take up to three days to completely harden. I would leave them be for now.

I checked on them a few minutes ago...still soft! I'll leave them alone then for a few days...hope they turn out! thanks!

I have used it many times for my customers that want no animals products in their lotion bars and fine that candellila wax makes my lotion bars too hard if I do not discount wax amount to half, so not sure what your recipe is, but I have never had that problem. I would go with what Soapbuddy suggested and give it a few days.
