Hi there, I've started making salt and sugar scrubs (just for me so far) but I know if I sell them I'll have to add a preservative. In reading through this forum it seems that Phenonip might be the best bet for my scrubs that are just basically olive oil, salt or sugar, and EO or FO. BB says that phenonip should be .5-1% of the total, but I am really, really, REALLY bad at math. Help! If I'm making a 16oz container of scrub, how much phenonip? One drop? Two? Seven?
And speaking of containers, would acrylic containers work for scrubs? Or would the oil break down the container or make it cloudy? And would the container hold onto the scent afterwards? I'm looking for containers I can reuse.
Thank you so much for your help!
